Um, sorry. Anyway, I'm Senkusha. I'm old, well not that old. I'm 50. I've been around the block a few times. (You can hear me coming by the frantic wheezing as I slow-jog down the street!)

I'm primarily active with creative writing, anime, and role playing, occasionally cooking, because let's face it, I like to eat yummy food too, but I do know a few things outside of M$ Windows. And because this is a technology forum, here's some of my experience:

• You already know I'm ancient. I know my way around the Internet. In fact, I found all those sticky potholes (known as pr0n traps) back in the 90s).
• While I was in the United States Air Force (1995 - 1999), I studied computer technology. It was there I was first introduced to the Linux operating system as an free alternative to learn UNIX.
• I worked as a Software Support Specialist from 1999 - 2007... utilizing good old fashioned technologies like DOS and WordPerfect 5.1. This is also where I learned SQL (all on my own) as well as Visual Basic .NET. Only to be canned shortly afterwards because of some stupid financial crisis. We're not talking about that though.
• Concurrently, or while I was doing that professionally, I was personally mastering web design. I administered my first SMF forum beginning in 2003, and it was farily successful until 2012. Burnout is a real thing. It was here I learned PHP and some basic HTML and CSS.
• Now I just want stuff to work without putting up a fight.
• I know a little Unreal Engine 5.x. It's fun, but I barely have any time to work with it.
• I use an Android phone, created sometime prior to 2020? I mean, I bought it in 2020, so I'm only assuming that it was created before that. It'd be pretty awkward if it was created after I purchased it. Man, T-Mobile has some epic level technology there!

Other hobbies of mine? You know I like anime. Specifically, I enjoy Science Fiction, Romantic Comedies, Weird Crap (like Gender-Benders and Magical Girls), and I lost my train of thought. I like older television and movies. 80s comedy, like Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Indiana Jones, and SpaceBalls are all favorites. I liked BattleStar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 (when Richard Dean Anderson was in it), and House MD. I also enjoyed shows like, The A-Team, Airwolf, and Knight Rider.

Personality wise, I'm GenX. That means that I can be sarcastic. You've been warned. It's also nearly impossible to offend me. I'm sort of a hippie though. Lots of love and junk. (crossed with a Valley Girl there...) I'm pretty easy to get along with. Oh, and I tend to ramble a lot. Like right now!

Welcome to Alt Forums Senkusha! I look forward to hearing your crazy tech stories on the forums. xD I unfortunately graduated high school in 2008... not the best time to be thrown into adult hood.

I'm 49. It's good to know I'm not alone on all these forums.

Yeah, 2008 wasn't really the best of times. And I fear that 2026 may not be either. Time will tell though. Must remain optimistic!
