Art Creation

What can you create? When, how and when did you learn? How good are you?

I'm not a good artist. I made a few sprite edits of Sonic and made a sprite of Mega Man X once. The Sonic sprite I edited was from Sonic 2 on the Master System btw. I definitely messed up the first one, his shoes look weird lol.

I like digital art on programs like Poser and Blender, but I've not put forth the time to even grasp basics of Blender, though.

And I once once into this stuff big time, but times have been rough and I've abandoned it for the last five years.

I have a deep interest in art but I don't have skills. I used to do art when I was in teens, later, when I started using photoshop I tried digital art but these days sometimes I use AI tools to create art.

AI art seems too easy, but if I just want to have fun without having to use any skill, then AI can be cool.

But I would prefer to use pre-AI computer art programs.

I went to Art School, but my skills are fading, I fear. I love working with pastels, which are pieces of chalk, but my sinuses say NO to that. I find that I enjoy being creative on Canva and trying to get AI to do what I want it to do with images these days.

I would love to learn non-computer based art like drawing and painting, but it's low on my list of priorities I want to learn.

You probably already know about the fundamentals and don't even know it. What's important is how you "see" things. It's amazing that the more you draw, the more you can see...the shapes, the perspective, the shadows, the colors, etc... So just get started and don't worry about showing anyone what you draw for now. The more you draw, the better you will become.

I was amazed how much I like computer art when I got into it. Well, all my life, I've been into playing music and I was shocked I liked art creation just as much!
