This is only for people that miss those "old-school" gaming social/chat applications like Ventrillo, GameSpy Arcade and so.

Xf1re is a reverse-engineered project of the old Xfire program which closed in 2015 (I only managed to use it once back when I used to play HaloCE so much =/). It's mainly focused on gaming and it's based on the latest old version of the original Xfire client so don't expect fancy and modern details. It works similar to Steam but isn't a game store but a "social" gaming platform.

It allows you to customize your web profile, sync some of your installed games, record and upload videos and screenshots, save and query favorite gameservers and so on.

Some details if you're going to register:

1. If your password characters is longer than 12 it will be truncated to their maximum specified characters without any warning (isn't even mentioned on the signup page).

2. Seems like you cannot delete posted comments on screenshots/videos and similar.

I never participated in these types of websites back in the day but it's pretty cool to see people reviving them! I don't play too many multiplayer games so that's why I never joined these types of websites.

I just come here to say that Xf1re recently made a huge update which includes new forums, achievements, popular gameservers for each game which are sorted by how many people have such server as favorites on their profiles, the ability to sort screenshots and videos in your profile, remove/edit already posted comments (finally!), etc.

That forum looks like an old version of vBulletin lol, most gaming forums used vBulletin back in the day. I wish it was responsive too, hopefully it will be responsive soon.

I always wanted to use vBulletin back in the day as I really liked the design that had, but IIRC you had to buy a license to use it =(

Yeah unfortunately vBulletin isn't free software. It's still around but it's not as good as it used to be. :\ Gaming forums used to use this software, but most of those either shut down or moved to Xenforo.
