Zorin OS

This has been a pretty popular Linux Distro as of late. Many people are ditching Mac and Windows for Zorin OS, I watched a video where this guy installed Zorin OS on his girlfriend's old MacBook that was super sluggish. She did struggle to use Zorin a bit at first but was able to eventually get used to the OS and she was super happy she was able to use her MacBook again without slowdowns. I haven't used it yet, but I'm pretty content with Ubuntu that I'll just stick to using that distro for now.

I used to use it back in 2021 to 2022 just because I liked the design but for some reason I feel it's too "modernish" to me (and even worse as IIRC it's based on GNOME) so I nowadays use Debian with a window manager or Xfce instead as I prefer having something simpler. I really recommend it tho for newcomers along with Linux Mint if you're finding a Windows-like distro.

This is like the best distro for new Windows or Mac users. I've wanted to try it but always been satisfied with Mint so never got around to it.

Yeah I've been content with ubuntu but maybe I'll install this on one of my old laptops whenever I get around to renewing them. (I've got one that has a failed Windows 10 upgrade... I need to get some SSDs though since it uses a mechanical hard drive.)

Ubuntu was the first one I ever used around 2017-18. I got it on a disc from a linux magazine. Lol Zorin looks great though, it's modern out of the box.

Dang you got a disc that's cool lol. I remember watching a Michael MJD video where he used the first version of Ubuntu and how you used to have to request the disc in order to install it. Zorin does look great for sure and I think that's why lots of people who are ditching Windows are using it now.
